Recent Workshop
InterCulture hosted a matrilineal workshop June 27-29, 2013 at the University of Ottawa. Our special guests on Day 2 wee a Mosuo delegation
from Lugu Lake, located high in the Chinese Himalayas between Yunnan and
Sichuan provinces.
The workshop was held in the University of Ottawa’s Department of Classics &
Religious Studies (10th floor, Desmarais Building). The Desmarais building is located at 55
Laurier (corner of Waller and Laurier). Underground parking is available;
entrance to it is on Waller.
This
workshop was open to all our colleagues who are or might be interested in
matrilineal societies, past or present, and built on the findings of last
year’s matrilineal workshop (August 2012), also sponsored by InterCulture / the
Department of Religious & Classics Studies.
